Our growth from formation
in 2000 has been rapid and exciting. Here are a few of the
highlight milestones:
June
2000 – Scothosts formed to offer bespoke e-business
solutions to UK SME market. The amalgamation of business
management experience, graphic design and technical skills
were the unique selling point that would see us surpass
the local competition.
July
2000 – Scothosts becomes Scothosts Limited
and registered for VAT.
August
2000 – Scothosts 3 staff leave their home based
offices in favour of a small office at 6 Dunnikier Road
in Kirkcaldy.
September
2000 – An additional web designer is employed.
October
2000 – Scothosts develop www.fifeattractions.com
in conjunction with Fife Tourist Board.
November
2000 – We relocate to larger premises at 304
High Street in Kirkcaldy. At the same time we connect to
business broadband for the first time.
December
2000 – Commissioned to work on www.fifegolf.com
in conjunction with Fife Tourist Board.
February
2001 – Work is completed on an extension to
our offices to accommodate more staff.
March
2001 – Commissioned to develop www.kinghorncarcentre.com
May
2001 – Commissioned to develop www.fifecoastalpath.com
in conjunction with Fife Tourist Board.
June
2001 – Commence development on www.bookwolf.com
– our first dynamic internally funded e-commerce project
in partnership with US based associate.
August
2001 – Two further additions to our in-house
team.
September
2001 – Complete development of www.mckenziecooktravel.com
October 2001 – One
further staff addition, this time within our sales team.
November 2001 –
As dynamic work increased a new programmer was employed.
December
2001 – Complete development of multi-language
e-commerce system at www.amcelectronics.com
January
2002 – Bedford office established to serve
a more national market.
February
2002 –Major re-branding exercise and new Scothosts
website with client login area.
March
2002 – A highly skilled development manager
is employed to manage increasing volume of dynamic work.
April
2002 –Complete development of www.firstcarfinance.com
May
2002 – Complete development of www.wemyss-ware.co.uk
e-commerce system.
June
2002 – Complete development of www.tsa.org.uk
for the Tourette (UK) Association.

2002 - Contracted by London based Carratu International

2003 – London based UK Business Mail Group

2003 – Scothosts announce development partnership

2003 – Scothosts see success at W@W Awards
for second year running with www.bookwolf.com
awarded regional winner. The company received its highest
accolade to date on the same evening, winning a national
award for best use of broadband; in respect of our remote
working environment.

2003 – New range of phone automation services

in association with Reality Telecom PLC.
May 2004 –

February 2004 -
Scothosts are runners-up in the 2004 Fife Business Awards
in the Best Performing Company category. The award was won
by Cameron Harris Design & Build (www.cameronharris.com),
one of Scothosts' valued and long standing clients.

2004 - Instep Commercial, a trading partner of Dundee

March 2005 - A new website is launched at www.book4alps.com after a 2 week development by Scothosts. The website is aimed at the promotion of holiday accommodation in the French Alps.
April 2005 - Scothosts take the ambitious move of adding a Search Engine Optimisation specialist to our team. Stuart Low has been immediately assigned to work on the search engine performance of the websites at www.srscomputers.com and www.businessmailing.co.uk
April 2005 - After a 3 month development project Scothosts are pleased to announce the launch of www.golfbirdies.co.uk, which sells a range of golf related clothing specifically to women golfers.
April 2005 - A comprehensive redesign of the e-commerce system at www.scantec.org.uk is launched after a 10 week Scothosts redesign.
May 2005 - Scothosts launch a new website at www.thomsonhomes.com on behalf of Thomson Homes. The website offers a selection of luxury new homes.
May 2005 - Work completed at www.inchdairnieproperties.co.uk on behalf of Inchdairnie Properties on a complete website redesign in time to promote their extensive range of properties for the St. Andrews 2005 Open Golf Championship.
May 2005 - Scothosts complete a comprehensive redesign of www.benapart.com on behalf of Mackenzie Cook Travel.
May 2005 - A complete website redesign is launched on behalf of Anstruther Pleasure Trips at www.isleofmayferry.com
